"Mississippi has recorded 115 pertussis cases from Jan. 1, 2025, to Sept. 29, 2025, after identifying just 49 cases in all of 2024, the Mississippi State Department of Health reported. Mississippi State Health Officer Dr. Dan Edney (pictured) said on Sept. 28, 2025, that an infant has died of pertussis, the state’s first whooping cough death since 2012." https://www.mississippifreepress.org/mississippi-baby-dies-of-whooping-cough-the-states-first-pertussis-death-in-13-years/ Pro-Life Party killing babies.
Yes, that's 2-3x more but that's really not that much of a bump in total numbers unless most cases typically happen to be at the end of the year. And did no infant die in previous years? Do a bit more research and provide links before posting this stuff because I'm not sure what the point of this post was. I'm not unsympathetic but this is definitely not brow raising (yet).
Click the link and read it, moron. As time goes by, the number of unvaccinated Republican death cultists increases, spreading disease to more people, including pre-vax-eligible infants.
I did read it. Again. The only thing it says is, "We do believe that declining vaccination rates are impacting this," by some state health officer. No data here. and once again, there have been 3 deaths in 17 years (2008, 2012, 2025). What does this mean? Were they all infants? Did they have comorbidity? Were they born in the state? Don't let facts stand in the way of your dogma. This is just sloppy reporting and even sloppier lapdogging. I did, however, do this reporter's and your fact check about age level. They were all pediatric deaths. But once again, all the other questions remain. Also, here is the incidence of MS from 2003-2024. 2003-2011 from MS data, the rest from CDC with all links provided 2003 (14), 2004 (18), 2005 (60), 2006 (37), 2007 (256), 2008 (104), 2009 (80), 2010 (106), 2011 (49), 2012 (77), 2013 (59), 2014 (68), 2015 (12), 2016 (6), 2017 (35), 2018 (43), 2019 (54), 2020 (10), 2021 (1), 2022 (1), 2023 (3), 2024 (46) This year's numbers are not even the highest numbers since 2003. And the immediate post-COVID years have low numbers because there were fewer social interactions. 2024/2025 are going back to normal. This is the sh!t that the reporter should have done instead of spreading their political views. Yes, vaccination works, and some kids probably fell through the cracks during Covid. But don't open your mouth unless you have a point.
