[/quote] This is very true. There are *coaches* who don't even truly understand the position. Hopefully your club has dedicated GK training and she'll benefit from that as the season goes on. To be completely fair, and you may not like me saying this, but you are talking about an RL/NCSL team. I am *not* saying that there aren't good goalies playing on those teams but as a general rule of thumb, the better ones, especially in the older age groups, will be found on ECNL and GA teams.[/quote]
