Koch Brothers and their affiliated nonprofits have dumped a ton of money into GMU over the past 30 years. Lots of part-time PhDs and law degrees for GOP appointees. Executive branch and Hill staff live in NoVA for the cheaper taxes. They basically had a long term goal of establishing a "conservative" educational institution within the DC metro area.

I'm surprised a Democratic governor hasn't dismantled the obvious politically partisan alliance between the school and its benefactors. It's a state university, not a private institution. [/quote]
