My DD is applying to a moderately selective college that is a target for her (her stats fall in upper 1/3 to 1/4 of students). She would really like to go there. While she won't apply ED because we want to compare financial offers, it is probably her first choice. It is also a school that considers demonstrated interest. She has not yet submitted her application. As a junior, she got email and other communications from this college. She toured in early summer. Since her tour, she has not heard a single thing. No more emails, no mail. She saw belatedly on their Insta that they had an admissions event in our area that she would have liked to attend, but she didn't get any communications from them about it. We have a full recycling bin of mail from colleges she doesn't care about. I know it's weird to complain about *not* getting mail or email from a college. But it's making her feel unwanted by a college that seems like an excellent fit. I know this seems silly, but any theories about why this would happen?
She toured. That's important since they consider demonstrated interest. But, honestly, email is much more prevalent than USPS. Did she add the school to her Common App list? That's also important. Once she's applied, they'll send plenty of information via email.
