[/quote] If Democrats were smart, they would lower the federal income tax to 5%, equalize earned income and capital gains rates (both at 5%), establish progressive tax brackets for the corporate tax rate (create a real wedge between Big Business and SMEs), raise their state income taxes by a corresponding amount, and then let Red States deals with the fallout. That's how you "get back" at states led by Republican elites. They would absolutely crater without federal spending.[/quote]
