The subject exams are a very important cull for all applicants. Kids who don't score at the very top end of those -- for US students, above 70 at least, I'd guess -- are unlikely to be asked to interview. Then the interview is main selection mechanism. I don't get the sense that UK tutors are at all impressed with US AP exam scores.[/quote]
