Bought it about a year after purchasing new. I could have gotten it anytime before the original warranty expired. It’s not aftermarket, but offered by the manufacturer. Was 2k and the truck was 60k. I wouldn’t get a third party extended warranty, though. My brother in law got an extended warranty for his Honda minivan and the transmission crapped out at 50k; it ended up saving him quite a lot of money. Of course they wouldn’t offer these if they lost money on them, so it comes down to whether you’re comfortable with possibly spending money on something that never gets used.[/quote]
