That’s like asking a lottery winner if they’re glad they bought the ticket. They’ll say yes but that doesn’t mean it was a good financial decision. Unless there’s a known issue with the vehicle, extended warranties are money makers for the issuer
This is a self insure situation. Over your lifetime you will own several cars. At some point you may have a large bill, but taken over the many years and several cars you will undoubtedly come out ahead of getting extended warranty. Just keep an emergency fund for this and the other things that are "sh*t happens" episodes in life.

I have a 2 year BMW which I recently purchased. Still have 1 year and about 15,000 miles on the original warranty, but I purchased an extra 2 years warranty.
