My son's small private school purposefully did not tell the students today (I know that's not what you're asking, but I think how a school full of young kids handles something like this during school hours should be discussed - and his school is a high-tech school full of computers, I phones and all the bells and whistles - I'm actually surprised it didn't leak out.  I think they handled it very well).  I had listened to the news while driving to the school, but had turned to the news off when I picked up carpool because I didn't think other parents would appreciate their children learning about this from me.  But then I learned that one of the girls had already  picked up on the story when allowed to turn on her cell phone in pick-up line.  No email from the school yet, but it is so small and well-hid that I am not concerned.[/quote]
