Looking into it for my DD for the 2026-2027 academic year. She’ll start her last pre-K year in the fall. I’m a little concerned about girls being under represented at the Newton School.
We are attending K this coming year and brought up this exact question. Honestly, ratio was way better compared to most schools we toured that support neurodiverse students. These schools just tend to have an overrepresentation of boys. When we toured the split in K looked to be maybe 60/40 boys to girls, and I know Allison works hard to make sure there are decent ratios. We also toured Linder. She was likely to be the only girl in the class and that would be incredibly hard for my DD. It's one of the reasons we chose Newton.
