If you want a good neutral greige, try BM edgecomb gray or revere pewter. If you want more of a tan/umber, try BM shaker beige, Manchester tan. If you want something that leans a little whiter, try BM cloud white or Swiss coffee. For the accent wall, what about an earthy green, like SW svelte sage or SW evergreen fog? If you want to go with a deeper yellow, I really like the Benjamin Moore historic yellows — york harbor yellow, Dorset gold, Marblehead gold, concord ivory. They can be bright without screaming at you. SW’s humble gold is nice, too.
+1 for Revere Pewter but light is everything. It looked amazing in our 4th floor apartment with big windows, and I wanted to take it into our new rowhouse. But the test strip looks like mud in this darker space. Will be trying Edgecomb Gray next (the adjacent color swatch to RP) to see if that holds up better in this space.
