Warm white
Light sage
…Dark blue?
Also check out Samplize. You can move their decals around so you can see what the paint would look like right next to your cabinets, and on each of your walls

OP here. I went into the BM store yesterday. The weekend designer also suggested Swiss Coffee and Edgecomb Grey. She also suggested BM Dove Wing or SeaPear and also Silver Satin or Balboa Mist. I bought some samples and will see how they look in the space. It’s hard to tell the undertones. I don’t want the walls to be monochromatic with my light beige furniture but I like warm undertones

Anonymous wrote:Benjamin Moore Navajo White. A creamy, warm off white. Excellent color and reminiscent of southwestern adobe. Methinks this color would go extremely well with your Tuscan coloring.

Also worth looking at Benjamin Moore Mascarpone, another off white that is less creamy but not white-white.

Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore is also a classic non-gray off white.

+2 to these suggestions.

I’d be surprised if Edgecomb Gray isn’t the color of the year.

If you want more of a tan/umber, try BM shaker beige, Manchester tan.

If you want something that leans a little whiter, try BM cloud white or Swiss coffee.

For the accent wall, what about an earthy green, like SW svelte sage or SW evergreen fog?

If you want to go with a deeper yellow, I really like the Benjamin Moore historic yellows — york harbor yellow, Dorset gold, Marblehead gold, concord ivory. They can be bright without screaming at you. SW’s humble gold is nice, too.

+1 for Revere Pewter but light is everything. It looked amazing in our 4th floor apartment with big windows, and I wanted to take it into our new rowhouse. But the test strip looks like mud in this darker space. Will be trying Edgecomb Gray next (the adjacent color swatch to RP) to see if that holds up better in this space.

I’m one of the PPs — didn’t mention these colors, but agree these are very good.

Hire a color consultant. It’s worth it.

We’re going with this:

Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray (more taupe than gray)
Benjamin Moore Smokey Taupe (a little darker than E.G.)
Benjamin Moore Englewood Cliffs for an accent wall + other accent areas

Borrow a color wheel and pour a drink and get to narrowing it down then.

I am moving back into my house after it being a rental for 10 years. Last tenant painted it all light grey. I don’t like it and it feels too cold / institutional. Previously I had it a warm beige with a deep red / maroon couch but now my couch set is beige so I need a warm neutral colour to put on the walls. Other furniture is black. I tend to like Tuscan colours as accents (rich earth tones - rusty red, sunflower orange/yellow, mossy greens). I do not like pastels.

Floor is pine - laminate wood floor.

Kitchen opens onto the main space and has pine coloured cabinets, red backsplash tiles and a black countertop.

I am not sure how long I will be living here so I am not changing anything except the paint.

I thought of doing an accent wall in the main room too just to add some colour.

Large southeast facing front window so the room gets lots of light in the morning but very little in the afternoon / evening.

Suggestions for wall colour?
