I just posted the so-called "amazing" results for the Class of '25. Many grads will be attending the most notoriously conservative Catholic colleges in the country. That's fine -- to each his own -- but it does say a lot about the political leanings of the student body. I've actually never seen placement quite like it in any Catholic high school around here.
There are many top schools on the list: Naval Academy, Princeton University, Columbia University, Stanford University, Notre Dame, University of Michigan, Boston College, and Emory. ROTC scholarships are competitive as well. I love that they celebrate the graduate who will train as an electrician. There is nothing wrong with the Catholic colleges that you turn up your nose at. The OP should visit the school, talk to parents, and then decide. I think that it’s fine to be more culturally mainstream than most others as long you don’t expect everyone to agree with you. If it’s important for you to see your exact views reflected by the faculty and other families attending, then there are plenty of private schools like that. I don’t think that they are as good with boys though!
