Your daughter is old enough to wear strapless dresses but still hasn’t learned that if she doesn’t check the weather and bring the appropriate clothing, she’s going to be uncomfortable for a spell? I mean, my kids figured that out in preschool, after a couple trips to the playground where they refused to bring/carry a jacket. Land the helicopter. Stop crowdsourcing her outfits and let her experience the joys of a SF summer.
PP, you know NOTHING about what has happened to my DD over the last three years to make ANY kind of statement. It is a miracle she is even able to attend this event, so PARK your JUDGMENT chopper on your lawn and FOCUS on your sh*t.
Well that escalated quickly. OP, if you want help, you might include relevant information like “my daughter has special needs and isn’t able to choose her own clothes” or whatever her limitation is. Because this is an anonymous forum, we indeed know nothing about you or your daughter.
What escalated quickly was someone weighing in with judgment on parenting, not sartorial suggestions, on a beauty and fashion thread. Perhaps that PP can go to parenting forum and start their own thread on what they presume to know so much about. And parents don't necessarily have to come into this forum with context over a simple question. Yes, if a parent is on the special needs forum seeking what might be the best classroom settings, for example for their DS with a recent ADHD diagnosis, sure, additional context helps. But DD does not have special needs and clearly is able to pick her own clothes as I cited what she had selected for the wedding in my original post. I was simply seeking feedback from folks familiar with that region and any experience they may have with outdoor weddings (as well as folks who've had to attend one in what can be a chilly climate). Feel bad for that PP. Perhaps there are only sons or has no close relationship with their DD to discuss such matters, the ones that often bind us closer and can help us weather when there are difficult times.
