Because people can manage their health better when they have health insurance and aren't running to the ER (which we pay for) as medical care. Because we're all safer when the people around us are healthier. You can't wrap yourself in a hermetic bubble. Sick people around you will get you sick. And because most of us have a moral compass and don't want our fellow Americans dying due to lack of health care in the richest country in the world.[/quote]
