This area has a lot of Jewish people, but its still a very small, special population. I still see posts from people stating that they haven't known Jewish people. Figured that with the season, maybe others would have questions. As to your question, it probably has to do with the kosher factor as well as the age old recipes. I agree. And also don't think we have a really good deli in the area. [/quote]

You're still going to get a lot of "So" responses, like the poster above.  I posted an "ask me anything" that I thought was interesting, and got a lot of those (along with a lot of questions from people who actually were intrigued).

Anyway, there's a new Jewish deli on Conn Ave between Dupont and Farragut North.  Haven't been yet but looks yum.  Here's a link:
