This isn't even the first incident in 2025.[/quote] Yes part of the issue is that there was a lockdown during aftercare two weeks ago due to a shooting at Phelps HS (group of kids drove up and shot through the windows of the high school). Phelps is right behind TR. The combination of these two incidents in quick succession, and the extremely violent nature of this more recent shooting, is different than the prior violence in the area. Yes there are homicides in the area, and sometimes they happen near schools during school hours (but honestly very rarely). But it is not typical for shootings to be happening *on* school property, which both of these did. And in this case right in front of a large group of students, teachers, and parents. Of course families at the schools in this cluster are upset. What is wrong with you?[/quote]
