I'd strongly suggest you find a personal trainer, and tell them very succinctly that you want to learn "proper form for exercises you can do with x-type of equipment". Either at a gym, or with what equipment you have at home if you are not able to go to a gym or don't want to go to one. Once you learn proper form, then you can start trying different routines.
OP here. I don’t belong to a gym (I go to a yoga studio twice a week and walk the other days). Are there trainers who will come to your house? Do you have a recommendation? In my lifetime I have used free weights as part of fitness classes, but never more than an 8-10 lb weight, and not in at least 5 years.
np Yes, there are trainers who come to your house. I share a trainer with friends and they go to my friend's house but I go to her apartment because they have a gym there with all the equipement. They are pretty busy but, you can ask around. Maybe your yoga instructors will know someone. You want to get someone who knows how to strengthen for older women, not just young guys! Good luck!!
