Hi there. My kiddo just tried for the DC Wave Developmental, age 7, and they got recommended for the JUNIOR WAVE - SWIM TEAM PREP. so I have a few questions: 1. I'm guessing that means they didn't get it but kiddos is almost there right? 2. How is this class? is it worth trying? (price wise is great!) 3. is there other teams for 7 years old that you can recommend? my kiddo really like swimming and I know that there's a world out there. We're located in Brookland if that is helpful. Thank you for your resources. I'm not really intense, I just want to support my kiddo who doesn't like any other sport.
The price is right, the location is right - take that Wave spot *and* go find a summer team for DC to join. You can either go to a private pool (cross over into MD for more options - Cheverly would be convenient for you) or a city or county pool (a couple of those have summer teams). I'm not in the District so can't list your city pools with teams, but I know others here will be able to. Summer swim is by far the best way to get kids hooked on swimming. Good luck!
