We were fine with that and it was unquestionably for the best . . . it gave her the chance to recover and get back up to speed in an environment where it was easier to rebuild confidence and shine (because the competition, both internal and external, was less). She then played her way back up. I have a much bigger issue with dropping her entirely from any team. That's cruel at this age (especially because most teams have some filler on their lowest U9/U10/U11 teams) and reflects poorly on the club/coaches.[/quote]
