I do fly United and will pay more to fly IAD directly to Europe, and then change planes in Europe if I can’t get a direct flight to my destination. Because I’m an anxious traveler, don’t do well with missed or cancelled flights and am more likely to have a smooth connection in most European airports. But, through Newark is definitely cheaper, with more options. Of If I was on a tighter budget, it would be hard to avoid Newark. [/quote]
