Our plan was that, after my insurance is terminated to get onto my partner's plan who is also a federal employee (same exact plan) and hopefully be enrolled in July. I am 42 years old and have had 4 egg retrievals, and was hoping to do at least 1 more egg retrieval even before all this turmoil ensued.

I'm worried now that if I do find a job, and being a new employee, it would be difficult to take time off for the monitoring appointments of egg retrievals. But that's a big "IF". Right now, I'm placed on admin leave and job hunting, and I'm wondering if it's better to try and have another egg retrieval now with my own insurance because an egg retrieval is more costly than the transfer. I keep trying to ask the insurance company if by getting added onto a different policy would I still get another prior authorization approval for IVF in the same calendar year? and realize that these people on the phone are pretty much reading off the pamphlet/brochure but insurance processing goes to a specific department that has the final determination.

It all feels very stressful to be honest, and hopefully I'm coherent here - but I was looking for any advice or insight on anything else to consider?
