But now I would talk to him and explain the current situation you have, that it works, and ask his thoughts. If he refuses give it a week. You can handle a shitty life for a week. Then on Friday AM I would go in and say something like “Unfortunately these hours are extremely untenable for me, and if my position has changed to require these hours I will need to give you my two weeks notice. Knowing this, how would you like to proceed?” But only do that if you’re literally willing to walk over it with zero notice.
