I’ve never done fasting. I’m curious why not consuming food for 36 hours would kick start weight loss versus just being a loss for the week because you severely went under your caloric needs. What is omad? I’m worried about you, op! I would worry about fainting, not being able to function at work, or driving your kids safely. Do you have an exit plan if you aren’t feeling well?
OMAD stands for one meal a day. It’s essentially eating 1000-1200 cals over the course of an hour instead of all day. For many of us, myself included, it is more satisfying to eat one big meal than 3 smaller ones. As to your other question, I think it’ll kickstart weight loss because it ensures I will achieve a caloric deficit for the week. Counting calories is really error-prone, and margins for success are thin. Plus, I’d rather feel deprived for one day that constantly deprived all the time.
