All of the successful Democratic Presidential candidates of the past 45 years have had weird sex rumors swirling around them. Whether assault accusations, gay sex fantasies, or being considered too huggy/sniffy with women and children. These winners do much better than goody two shoes candidates like Mondale and Dukakis. We’re basically chimpanzees, and we want to be led by aloha males, and alpha males take what they want. This is also why Trump and Berlusconi types win. It’s sad, but the effect is real. Cuomo isn’t perfect at all, but he is alpha. Voters will forgive him for hooking up with and/or flirting with attractive members of his own staff. I’m sorry, but I seriously think Cuomo would beat Buttigieg. Specifically because of the alpha factor and the sexual factor. I’m not talking about homophobia, although of course that exists. It’s that Pete is beta and seems asexual. His husband is supposedly the only man he has ever been with or even gone on a date with. That’s not good on the “women want him and men want to be him” front. Or take a John Kerry, although he’s too old of course. But as an example, straight, landed a rich gal, not bad. But people can tell he’s kind of wheedling with the ladies, whereas Cuomo asks for and usually gets what he wants. Chris Cuomo is better looking and much more age appropriate. But his problem is that he’s less of an aloha than he should be, specifically because he was the eager beaver little brother to a stern alpha! Anyway, we’ll see. Newsom has some sex appeal. Although the fact that he married someone who had been “with” Harvey Weinstein and stayed friends with him afterward take some if the sheen off his alpha. Anyway, I’m rAmbling. My point is, don’t forget we are monkeys. It’s more predictive than you think.
