Cookie dough - I make dough and then roll the dough into balls and pop them in the freezer on a cookie sheet for about 15 - 20 minutes.  I don't cover them at this point - its just to get the dough cold enough so they don't stick together in a baggie.  Then I put them in ziploc freezer bags.   Some recipes call for the dough to sit out for half an hour before baking; others can bake from frozen but might need one or two extra minutes in the oven.

I date all of my freezer bags so I know how long the item has been frozen.  Every week before I go to the grocery store, I check my freezer and decide if there are any meals that need to be eaten that week.[/quote]
