We have a chocolate lab we rescued. He was hit by a car, had a dislocated hip, so his prior owner gave him up to a rescue. There are so many dogs needing homes of every breed. It’s wrong to produce puppies when so many need homes already.
This is not true. My family tried for ages to adopt a rescue, and we could only find pit bull mixes
Honestly? If you "tried for ages" and this is all you came up with, you shouldn't own a dog. It's not that hard to research a breed that might be a good fit for your family and search for a rescue specializing in that breed. Some of you just shouldn't own dogs. You don't have the cognitive capacity to take care of yourselves, let alone another species.
