Clearly you haven't been there! We loved Bend. I think we spent three nights there but it was in the Best Western Plus (suites), not a resort. We did two days of visiting all the volcano sights. Other things you could do would include: raft or tube on the Deschutes, visit hot springs in Willamette Forest, day trip to the Painted Hills, hiking in Three Sisters. Oregon is gorgeous and beautiful and has excellent summer weather.[/quote]
