First they interview the kid, then they pull in the adult. When I joined, the two interviewers didn't bother to introduce themselves. That's when I got a sense that this was perfunctory. No admission was the subsequent decision, though we didn't find out until lottery results date. (This may have just been an isolated incident. So maybe don't read too much into it.)[/quote]

Thank you. :) My kid is doing well this year, but also could have done well at Banneker. Still, probably the school realized it was not that good a match. However, we really enjoyed the tour and were impressed with the school, so it's definitely a great option for kids who are admitted. And I hear good things for the most part from other parents about kids who started there in 2024. So, wasn't trying to knock the school. Just saying that I had a feeling at the interview that it won't be an admittance. [/quote]
