What types of questions did they ask that felt perfunctory? Did you compare it to someone else’s Banneker interview? (My kid is interviewing this week.)
First they interview the kid, then they pull in the adult. When I joined, the two interviewers didn't bother to introduce themselves. That's when I got a sense that this was perfunctory. No admission was the subsequent decision, though we didn't find out until lottery results date. (This may have just been an isolated incident. So maybe don't read too much into it.)
