Just a reminder to let your school disclose if your child has an IEP or 504 - because if you don’t the screening committee won’t know/isn’t allowed to ask.
We don't care about DEI anymore, PP, didn't you know?
IEP and DEI are completely different and unrelated. IEP is about special education of disabled children.
A thousand percent. 504s and IEPs are (normally) about a medical diagnosis - like dyslexia, cognitive processing delays, or ADHD. Students can also have IEPs if they have a disability that has nothing to do with academics. It was just a reminder to all families. And it didn’t say that you MUST disclose it, just that if you want to disclose it you have to provide your approval in writing to your school. Get that chip off your shoulder.
