I don’t think there is any one Christian way. I have Christian friends who range from very conservative and don’t even encourage college aged children from sharing accommodation with opposite gender students and others who are very permissive.

We encourage our children to be responsible and not casually mess with people’s feelings. Both DC are in committed relationships and older one is married. We put no pressure on younger one to get married and would prefer they wait until they are finished college and more settled.

The important thing to us is to be in loving respectful relationships. They both dated before their current partners.

Agree -- there is no one acceptable Christian way of dating having sex and getting married.  And it would be helpful to know what OP means by "what we currently have in this society" and "What are the pros and cons."[/quote]
