Don't you have a neighbor kid who will look in on the cats? Catsitting is so much easier to find than dog sitting. Our neighbor kid is 9 and takes care of all of the cats in the neighborhood. Adults on our street have also done it in a pinch.

You're hoping someone will say it's no big deal, but the consensus is that this is rude and also a lot of really stupid subterfuge just so your kid can be running up and down the same hallway for 15 minutes before bedtime with a bunch of other kids that he's seen all day anyway. If you really can't get a cat sitter, ask a family on the team to host him and pay for half (or more) of their room. [/quote]
