We ended up not losing power that time, so we didn't use the generator.  Then we lost power for 4 days during the derecho, and we still didn't use the generator because it was just too much trouble since I no longer had milk I was trying to save and it wasn't big enough to run the A/C.  So now we have this Franken-Storm coming, and it seems like the perfect time to unload this thing that is taking up space in our garage.  I"m not thinking of price gouging anybody, but I would like to recoup the money we spent on it and all the heavy duty extension cords if I could.

But then I think, "what if this storm is really destructive, and we need end up needing the generator?"  We have a gas stove that can be lit manually and car chargers for our cell phones.  What would DCUM do? [/quote]
