I had a 2013 Crosstrek. By 90,000 miles I’d had to replace 3 wheel bearings and both CV axles in front. And by 110,000 the transmission was starting to make ominous noises. And it was both using oil and leaking it at both cylinder heads. The only problem I didn’t have with it was anything electrical. Electrically it was absolutely fine. If I had to pick a car to crash in, it would be my first choice. It’s heavy AF for its size and it’s built like a tank. It also worked amazing in snow up to about 7-8 inches deep. But Subaru has some serious issues these days with transmissions and oil use and oil leaks. I won’t own another one, in spite of its attributes.
oil leak issues have been fix in the newer models. I had a 2004 forestor, and had the gasket issue. Early crosstrek models had more issues than the newer ones.
