If I had to pick a car to crash in, it would be my first choice. It’s heavy AF for its size and it’s built like a tank. It also worked amazing in snow up to about 7-8 inches deep.
But Subaru has some serious issues these days with transmissions and oil use and oil leaks. I won’t own another one, in spite of its attributes.
oil leak issues have been fix in the newer models. I had a 2004 forestor, and had the gasket issue.
Early crosstrek models had more issues than the newer ones.
