I thought WaPo had a fair review, wrote Jolie inhabits the role of an exemplary wan, suffering diva (who could be anyone) but fails decisively in capturing Callas's spirit and charm. This is evident in the clips I've seen, so I have no interest in watching. Gaga would have been a far better choice, in appearance and voice. Or Sabrina Impacciatore, if they could have convincingly aged her for the later scenes. Sounds like the script is also a dog. Too bad, because this project had real potential.[/quote]
