The great idea and ideal of the United Nations has been diminished because it had to include corrupt governments that have ruined the UN.  I would love to see the United States withdraw its support and work with groups like Doctors Without Borders, Oxfam, Well Child and similar organizations to actually provide aid rather than grift corrupt countries.   The Gates Foundation does much more than UNICEF already and smaller charities like Well Child are also effective.    [/quote]

That's the problem. The UN has insane mission creep.

The UN is a delicate place where enemies meet to try to de-escalate war.
