Especially pears which get very soft when properly ripe.[/quote] Wrong. Pears, peaches and nectarines don't ripen properly in paper bags. I can't tell you how many times I've tried it and still got a hard core (which indicates too low of a temperature whike being shipped from FLA). I don't waste my money. Stores sell hard fruit ONLY because it ships better green.[/quote]
