My child is a sophomore in a semi-suite this year and it will cost about $16,500. That includes the Base Plus dining plan. Last year we paid about $15,500 for a traditional double with air conditioning and the same level dining plan.
Thanks! Is the semi-suite considered on or off campus?
On campus
Got it. Do you know if kids typically live on-campus after sophomore year?
I don't think it's common, but it's is an option if there is space. Priority is given to freshmen and sophomores for at least this year and last year. If a student lives on campus for both freshman and sophomores years, they will be given priority as juniors to live in the on campus apartments that are run by a private company. They are cheaper than the surrounding off campus apartments and include utilities and UMD wifi.
Good to know!
