Most kids have their parents read over it but in the end, if your child has the scores and initiative to get in a magnet, they probably have the writing skills to write 250 words.[/quote] Admission is competitive, as there are more qualified students than seats. If the essay is the deciding factor, as many posters have commented over the years, due to many students having the required grades and test scores, then a merely good essay won't suffice. [/quote]
