Dual enrollment is the blanket term for kids that are taking college classes for HS credit. Early college, jumpstart to college, etc are different version of dual enrollment.
Ok, but under one of these terms (perhaps 'Early College') don't students attend classes at MC - virtual or in person - yet they can still participate in HS sports, clubs, events??
Yes. For all versions of dual enrollment you are still formally enrolled at your local HS and can still participate in school events accordingly. Whether you take your dual enrollment classes at MC, at your local HS, or online will vary by what type of Dual enrollment you are doing. My daughter is an early college student and does not attend any classes at her local HS, all her classes are at MC. But she does play on a varsity team for her local HS.
