There has been a lot of chatter about TWSB on here. I have a dancer considering leaving TWSB - just deciding if she wants to keep with it through Nutcracker season since she has already committed. Would love to hear any feed back people have, regarding rigor and how they compare. How the teachers are. DD is 14 and dancing at Level 5 with TWSB. The MYB webpage makes it seem like pointe is introduced at MYB at level 4 (its level 3 in TWSB) So would she be more likely to be at level 6 in MYB, generally?
Any update on if your daughter switched and how she is liking it? I’m looking to switch as well because it’s become very apparent that twsb doesn’t care about their students beyond a potential donation check and kids are being shown blatantly that dedication and hard work are not appreciated or rewarded.
Im a different poster, but we were in a very similar situation last year. Ended up leaving TWSB and it has been great for DD - both in happiness and in her ballet. She did trial classes at Maryland Youth and Seber and loved both experiences. There is wonderful ballet life beyond TWSB, don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
