Im a different poster, but we were in a very similar situation last year. Ended up leaving TWSB and it has been great for DD - both in happiness and in her ballet. She did trial classes at Maryland Youth and Seber and loved both experiences. There is wonderful ballet life beyond TWSB, don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

MYB generally moves through the curriculum at a faster clip than TWSB. TWSB's training is very slow and they have really fallen off the map.

I would suggest that you reach out to MYB for more information and perhaps your child could attend an open house or take a trial class. I am the frequent MYB booster here. My child had a wonderful experience at MYB after many good years at TWSB and then a few less than good years there. To some, "youth ballets" are seen as less prestigious than a school affiliate with a company, but actually because they do not have to worry about the company and selling tickets, they can focus on the goal of helping each dancer become the best they can, whether that is improving as a student each year or becoming a professional.
