Why spend money weekly? Why not teach to save. In our house we save way more than spend but parents still provide art supplies and pay for fun family activities. The kids buy candy, gum, cars, mini stuffies, etc...or save for something bigger. Most get cash and gift cards from family for birthdays since they don't live close. [/quote]
