Wow, you wholly missed the point.  I have friends across the spectrum, and I find my liberal friends are just astonished by disagreements with their views and assume I'm either rich (read selfish,) uninformed, mean, or even racist.  [/quote]

I think you either need better friends or better opinions.   Because if your own friends think you are racist, then one or the other of you has a big problem that has nothing to do with liberalism.
