When I lost 40 pounds, I took a year off from cardio. Just heavy weight training and Pilates. I’m like you that cardio makes me feel hungrier. Was a great decision.
OP here. Thank you - helpful. I have about 40 pounds to lose that I gained on a medication. Off it now for several years but the weight has stuck. I don't think I want to take time off from cardio, just to reduce how much I do, but this is an interesting idea. I actually don't think 300 mins is that nuts...It's three hour long ellipitical workouts and four 30 min HIIT workouts, so I spread it out, but I guess it's a little much? Any eating tips from this PP? Did you just eat less or eat better? Or both?
I’m PP. I ate less and I ate 90-100 grams of protein daily. I don’t really enjoy eating that kind of diet but just did anyway. Lots of protein shakes and bars. Not sure that counts as eating better. Wasn’t that hungry with all that protein. Didn’t track calories. Spent a lot of time keeping food ideas rotating so I didn’t get bored and give up
