And we made a small side trip to Provins and my family was very nicely treated by a local cafe owner. I was able to have a friendly conversation in French with him. He explained off-season public transport to us. It was definitely the best experience of my three trips to France. When I lived in DC, I used to help tourists use the Metro fare card machine. Just a few seconds of explanation would keep the line moving. [/quote]
