I wish the tickets (non payment of tickets) would be enforced through booting, assessing points, losing license..something punitive.  I'm OK with putting red light cameras on every single light in DC (I don't run red lights, and if I happen to get "caught between a yellow and red", I can either fight it or pay it).  I've never in my life seen such a disregard for traffic rules! I'm over it, and would be perfectly fine with all punitive actions for breaking the law.[/quote]
