FWIW, we had out entire front steps ripped out, the foundation dig out below he frost line and a whole new set of beautiful brick stairs put in, and that was $10k.  I can’t imagine door replacements would come close to that since the stairs are prob 5x more work.  Is $5k a reasonable guess?  I just want to have an idea of whether or not I’m being ripped off by a contractor when I ask for quotes.[/quote]
5k is not remotely reasonable. Look online and see how much doors you like cost. This person is ripping you off and including a ton of markup. An exterior door is a one day, one person project. [/quote]
